The BMW 1 Series with H&R coilover suspension
The 1 Series, the most compact member of the family, is also the cheapest entry into the noble BMW world. And as befits a BMW, there are countless equipment options, entry-level model or not. The engine range is also wide, the drive ranges from three cylinders in the 316 to the six-cylinder with 300 hp in the M135, optionally even as all-wheel drive. Only the chassis has repeatedly given rise to criticism in many tests in the past.
With the H&R Monotube coilover suspension now available, however, this point should also be a thing of the past once and for all. Precisely matched to the 1 Series, the infinitely variable height adjustment allows individual adaptation to the driving dynamics requirements. The lowering of the vehicle's centre of gravity (30 to 50 mm) ensures more direct steering behaviour, and the lateral inclination of the body in fast corners is noticeably reduced. Nevertheless, the payload remains at standard level, and the driving comfort is suitable for long distances.
Even more performance is promised by "Trak+" wheel spacers, which H&R offers in various dimensions. This allows BMW standard wheels to be aligned with millimetre precision to the edges of the fenders, just like aftermarket wheels.
As is customary at H&R, all products are supplied with the required parts certificates and are Made in Germany.
